Utilising 1/8th Circular pitch gearing, these
machines are designed for the large volume manufacture of blank labels, tickets,
tags or other products from roll fed material. They are heavy duty, industrial
quality equipment and should not be confused with bench top type die cutters.
Standard equipment includes Coast All Air Web Guide, one magnetic die cylinder
to the customers specification, with a repeat length up to 96 tooth, oversize
A4, other sizes are available on request. The range can also use conventional
rotary dies. Minimum repeat is 70 tooth but we recommend 80 tooth or above for
any heavy die cutting. Maximum repeat is 20" or 160 tooth. Two models are available 250 cut width and 330 cut
width, with 265 mm and 345 mm web respectively. The machines have a variable
speed drive system with a minimum speed of 10 metres per minute and a maximum of
150 metres per minute.
The unwind is a heavy duty unit with 3" (76mm)
expanding core chuck which will take a roll up to 650 mm in diameter. A new
pneumatic tension control brake is also fitted, along with a low roll sensing
device.
The die cutter unit consists of two stations with
the first taking a top cutting die (or magnetic cylinder), the second is a
universal type for back perforating, top cutting, sheeting etc. The anvil rolls
are of very large diameter and are hardened and precision ground for accurate
die cutting.
A single matrix stripper is mounted on the top of
the second die station, however stripping can occur at either
station.
Rewind tension is adjustable on the run, and rewind
roll capacity is up to 560mm diameter. An optional lamination station is
available for both self wound or liner type laminates.
Options available for the RD range include: The Shingling conveyor has a sheet counter and is
set up to seperate the sheets into pre set stack sizes on the run. There are two
separate conveyors in the system, one directly driven by the backgear on the RD2
and the second (shingling conveyor) motor driven and speed adjustable by the
operator for the best performance.
An RD Scorer may be fitted for slitting before or after diecutting/stripping, or for back scoring the web.
All machines are built to comply with European
standards and are guarded to AS4024.2.
Power Requirements: 380/415VAC; 50Hz; 3 Phase; 15
