A servo motor driven, line-shaftless die-cutter, the RD2S is
capable of converting pre-printed stock off a digital press at high
speed and acuraccy.
The RD2S comes with two die stations, both set up for face or back-side cutting, and an interstation nip.
With a 208T maximum die cylinder the RD2S can convert stock off the largest frame format digital print engines.
The
new station design is extremely rigid, and has a support roller so
there is no requirement for shimming journal blocks to achieve gear
tooth clearances. By applying the pressure load directly through the
bearers, all die forces are constrained within the cylinder, and
journal bearings are only performing guiding duties, not die support.
This reduces the risk of cylinder bending, and allows for fully loaded
dies to work at maximum efficiency.
The RD2S can be upgraded to integarte to a SQUIDjet digital line at a later date.
All machines are built to comply with european standards, and are guarded to AS4024.2
