The RS280 slitter rewinder was developed as a low cost finishing unit for the flat letterpress market. When fitted with the optional matrix stripper and unwind stand the unit becomes a low cost converting and finishing machine. Many commercial paper suppliers utilise the simple features and operation of the RS280 for their narrow web slitting needs.
The RS280 comes standard with automatic in-line operation, duplex rewind spindles with independant tension control, 38 mm and 76 mm rewind spindles, three shear knife slitting sets, and label/length counters. The machines also feature a standard edge waste extractor and functional tool tray.
The machines feature vacuum tension control, and are on castors to facilitate moving from machine to machine. Options include the quick thread matrix stripper, and unwind stand. All machines are built to comply with European standards and are guarded to AS4024.2.
