The Rapid roll fed Screen Printer was designed as a cost effective
machine for the printing of high quality decals, touch panels,
electronic circuits, labels, ceramic transfers, and industrial
products.
The machines use the flat screen system with an adjustable snap angle
device for high quality printing. The print head is driven by a unique
servomotor system which has many advantages over conventional air
cylinder driven machines.
The main benefits are: virtual maintenance freedom, constant stroke
speed, no air consumption and quiet operation. Squeegee and flood blade
actuation is by small air cylinders with pressure and angle adjustment.
Vacuum is used to stabilise the web during the printing cycle, and also
to provide accurate web tension control during the pull stroke.
Drying is available in a combinatin of UV and impinged turbulent hot
air to suit customers requirements, Flash IR is also available to
request. To reduce web heating and irradiation the UV is shuttered,
using the rotary shutter reflector, every time the web stops during the
print cycle. This allows a wide range of plastic and filmic substrates
to be processed using UV inks where previously they would have to have
been processed flat sheet and conveyor dried.
The RSS range does not feature an integral unwind or rewind and this
allows the customer to chose the Rapid unit which best suits their
needs. The option is always available to run the RSS in line
with more print stations, at any time expanding the
colour/pass ability of the machine, or any other Rapid free standing
printer, converter or guillotine.
All machines are built to comply with European standards and are
