Founder,
Bruce Mansell, started the business to satisfy a need in the Australian
market
for specialised short run labels.
With 35 years
experience solving problems
for label printers and converters Rapid has earned a reputation for
developing
reliable and robust solutions.
Rapid have
sold machines in 54 countries
worldwide, and with over 1100 installations, almost half being special
purpose
solutions, have the experience to assist in overcoming your production
bottlenecks.
From the first
optical plate-mounting unit
in 1980, the first totally gearless flexo press in 1995, the first RFID
label
and tag converting machine in Australia in 1996, right through to our
latest UV
Digital Ink-Jet label presses in 2008, Rapid have been at the forefront
of
technology in the printing and converting industry.
Rapid were
amongst the first adopters of
servo drive technology for narrow web converting, and have consistently
built
on that experience to stay ahead of the rest when it comes to
technology
application in the printing industry.
